Maryland’s Howard County Wine in the Woods Celebrates Its 25th Year!

Maryland’s Largest Wine Festival Returns May 20-21 at Symphony Woods (Howard County Recreation & Parks)

Join us at Symphony Woods for Wine in the Woods’ 25th year and celebrate the charm and character of an event that has aged to perfection! Wine in the Woods is now the largest wine festival in Maryland and was voted “Best Festival in Howard County.”

Sample a variety of Maryland’s finest wineries from a souvenir glassand buy your favorite bottles to take home. Purchase food from an abundance of high-quality, distinctive restaurants and caterers; sharpen your palate by attending wine education seminars; purchase exceptional works of art and specialty crafts; and revel in continuous live entertainment from musical acts on two stages.  (The event is expecting about 30 wineries, 18 food vendors, 30 artisans & crafters, and 12 live band performances over the two-day event.)

More than 500 volunteers are needed for both days of Wine in the Woods! Volunteers are required to sign up for a 4-hour shift on Saturday or a 3.5-hour shift on Sunday and in turn receive one event ticket redeemable either day and a t-shirt. Sign up at www.wineinthewoods.com.

Not only can you sample wine from the finest vineyards in Maryland, you can also enjoy live musical entertainment and purchase products from our invitation-only craft show and amazing food vendors.  You can also get your photo taken and take home an instant printed souvenir “Wine in the Woods” photo.

Wine in the Woods also offers a Designated Driver Program. The Designated Driver wristband provides an alternative for Non-Tasters who wish to enjoy wonderful entertainment, crafts and food at Wine in the Woods. Your Non-Tasters admission entitles you to up to four complimentary non-alcoholic beverages at our Designated Driver Booth. Please present your wristband to the volunteers at our booth any time during your visit and enjoy a beverage on us!

Tickets are limited and can be purchased online ( www.wineinthewoods.com ) or in-person at five locations (Recreation & Parks Headquarters, Gary J. Arthur Community Center, North Laurel Community Center, Roger Carter Community Center and Robinson Nature Center).

Advance ticket purchasers may enter at 10:30 AM each day so that you have time to come in and find your perfect spot before the festival officially opens at 11 AM.
